Salve Vargas Edelman is more than my cousin—she s’ a woman whose life has been a testament to courage, service, talent, and faith.

Her memoir, A Blessed Life, reflects the beautiful perspective Salve has embodied. A meaningful life is not determined solely by our personal achievements, but by how we inspire others, the service we provide to those around us, and the faith we hold.

One of her most meaningful words of wisdom is: “No matter what happens in our lives, we are truly blessed.”

That statement captures the essence of Salve’s journey. She does not deny life’s difficulties; she chooses to find purpose and gratitude within them.

Her most significant legacy won’t be defined by the titles she’s held, the stages she’s illuminated, the organizations she’s contributed to, or even the challenges she faced when battling cancer. It will be the hearts she has touched, the lives she has encouraged, the example she has set for others, and the faith she held on to.

Her memoir, “A Blessed Life,” reminds us that we may not always choose the circumstances life gives us, but we can choose how we rise above them.

Her life is truly a blessing—and her legacy is a gift to all who have had the privilege of knowing her.
